Colin Rayner founded this firm on 1st May 1984 when he opened the main office in Astley Bridge Bolton.
Prior to 1984 Colin was a partner with a firm based in Manchester City Centre and had been operating a branch office for that firm at these office premises since April 1979.

Heather Hodgson joined our firm in November 1993 and joined Colin in partnership on 1st November 1999. Heather is in charge of our Matrimonial Department.

The expansion of the practice has continued over the years with the opening of a second office in Bolton town centre and another office in Astley Bridge. However, the partners recognised the great advantages of the main office site in Astley Bridge and in 1997 an ambitious project was undertaken which resulted in the extension, renovation and refurbishment of the Astley Bridge premises and the relocation of all staff to that office

Our growth was aided further by the acquisition of two other local firms one of them being Messrs. Balshaws which is a firm that had its origins in the early 1800's.

Apart from the two partners we have 4 other fully qualified solicitors, an office manager, a staff support manager/secretary, seven full time secretaries, one accounts clerk, one data control clerk, a head receptionist and an office assistant.
